Bush learns cricket in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD -
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - US President George W. Bush swooped
on his shoulders on Saturday and prepared for the game, but it was not his

President Bush, who
is currently visiting Pakistan, is aware of cricket, which is heavily practiced
in the streets, parks and homes of neighboring Pakistan and India.
The match was held at the US Embassy and was attended by an
audience consisting of US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, US Ambassador to
Pakistan Ryan Crocker and a group of cricket-loving children from two local
schools.
The captain of the Pakistan national team, Al-Haq and his
assistant Younis Khan and player Salman Bot, briefed the US president on the
rules of the game. Two local school students joined in the match with Bush, a
seasoned baseball player who owned the Texas Rangers team.
